My name is Josh Neilsen. I design and build modern, heirloom-quality furniture. Using simple geometric forms and sculptural details, I try and create tactile appeal that can only be achieved by slow and patient handmade work. My background is in graphic design and I currently work as a Senior Production Artist at Mullen Lowe. My passion for working with my hands led me into furniture design. I enjoy working with solid domestic hardwoods to build functional pieces in remarkable forms. Each of my designs is built to order in my shop at home in the South Bay and finished with hand-rubbed natural oils and wax.
